It had been a really long day, i didn’t get much sleep on the plane, maybe half an hour, that’s always the way though… As the taxi pulled up outside the Encore Las Vegas i was getting really excited. I love this town, i’ve stayed in a few hotels here now and i was really looking forward to adding this to my list. The rooms that Encore has to offer are regarded as being amongst the best on the strip. We’d reserved a Panoramic Suite, this is the same as a standard Resort Suite but guarantees to be on a higher floor, usually floor 35 or higher. There was a slight queue at the front desk which made us a little nervous, we really wanted to get an amazing view; fortunately Holly had emailed the concierge before we arrived and also did some persuading when we were checking in. We ended up with a strip view room on the 62nd floor which has unreal views over the north end of the strip and out to the mountains. The room is amazing and comfortably the best i’ve stayed in so far whilst in Vegas, it measures around 745-square foot which is massive!
I’ve grabbed a few photos of the room and resort so far, it’s an amazing place. Encore was originally planned as an expansion to the Wynn but functions as its own resort apart from a few services which are shared with the Wynn. It’s located towards the northern end of the strip opposite the Fashion Show Mall. If you’re looking for a classy and luxurious resort then you should give this place some serious consideration. I used my 10.5mm f/2.8 fisheye lens for these shots, i’ve not used this lens much so was keen to give it a workout, plus it’s great for using indoors and in tight spaces.
The below shots were taken in the Wynn, we’ve got breakfast included in our rate which means we can go to the buffet each morning, it’s ranked as one of the best buffets in Vegas, 3 days in and i’ve already had 15 cookies with my breakfast.
